Urmuz populates his work with bizarre masks and characters, strange, haunted by humor, purity, candor, and rarely with tragism and sarcasm. A dose of miracle emerges through the turmoil of this restless world, full of passions and uncertainties. The created characters are reminiscent of the images found in the pictures of the time, with a kind of industrial mechanism.
