Abstract

Newspapers, radio, television, the Internet, social networks - all of these are today means of disseminating information. It took almost half a millennium of attempts and failures, disputes and victories to respond to people's need for information in all the forms we know today. In this paper, we present briefly the main eras of the press and its stages of development, implicitly the great waves of changes that required more or less rapid adjustments. however, the most important challenge is, By far, artificial intelligence, whose use in the media involves numerous legal and ethical controversies, as it has a huge potential to manipulate the masses. On the one hand, this software undoubtedly increases the speed of work and reaction, as well as productivity and profit of media entities. On the other hand it remains to be seen how it can be used without causing any social disruptions.
